About Freedom Companion Driving

Freedom Companion Driving Services offers a more personal alternative to call-centre or app-based taxi services, aimed at seniors, people recovering from illness or injury, and those with mobility challenges or disabilities. Drivers help with getting in and out of the vehicle, walkers and wheelchairs, and provide companionship throughout the trip rather than just driving from A to B.

Beyond transport, the team can assist with shopping, picking up prescriptions, or simply taking someone out for a coffee or scenic drive. Freedom is a registered ACC and Total Mobility Scheme provider, meaning subsidised fares may be available to eligible clients.
